  1. Bit grim wasn't it. I'm still hoping he's putting it on and comes out kicking some ass in the next episode.
  2. Manfred Mann was the ear worm on Radio 6 just now and I could swear he was singing 'Wrapped up like a douche' throughout the song
  3. As much as I think Traore might become brilliant, it was a gamble that's cost us, since we've spent £7m on him and got almost zero contribution. That and the money spent on Gestede, Jesus Christ whoever scouted him needs shooting. The rest of the spending has been OK really, but that's £13m that could have gone on a goalscorer.
  4. For me the immediate danger to us is the Paris-style attack with multiple locations at the same time using explosives and machine guns for maximum damage. I think they'd be almost impossible to plan in the UK/Europe without somebody noticing along the way, and they need organising at least and probably training within the ISIS training camps, which is why we need to attack them in Syria as well. It's stupid bombing them in Iraq, thus radicalising people anyway, then not being able to do anything about them going to Syria and having free run to do what they want before coming back to cause mayhem over here.
  5. Surely at a Waffle House you can just eat your way through the walls at night when nobody's there and knick the money? Perhaps an easy generalisation, but I think the difference between a nutter or two in the US having the opportunity to get a load of guns and shoot dead over a dozen people before getting killed themselves, and a nutter over here having access to a knife and seriously injuring one person before getting tazered and arrested shows we have it about right.
  6. Has Gestede actually started before under Remi? I'm not sure he really rates him at all, just horses for courses today. It was probably as limited an XI I've ever seen for us today and we bagged a point. Something to take forward, at least.
  7. A pair of trainers and some DVD boxsets, I believe. Pretty happy with that tbh.
  8. I've got a feeling there is more chance of me being in our starting line up than Gabby under Remi. I'm hoping Gil plays in Veretout's position and Adama plays right wing, and we don't commit defensive suicide again.
  9. I've had a gander (lol) at a few pics and it probably is a white duck. Silly me.
  10. I went to see Saints play Stoke a couple of weeks ago and was surprised how flat they were, albeit Mane was only on the bench that day. Stoke did a proper job on them. The key is cutting out suicidal defensive mistakes as I think Garde can get us pretty effective going forward. I hope we could get 9 or so points but that's optimistic.
  11. Look at the smile and chubby cheeks tho. (I'm hoping it's a female btw, I don't want to be seen as swan-gay)
  12. Does anyone else find the bottom right swan really attractive?
  13. Was that before, or after the UN vote? I can see why he may have come around to his view in recent days or weeks. There was also a leadership election a few months ago that he didn't run for, so I don't really buy that he suddenly chose last night to make a run for it.
  14. I think Gary Neville must fancy the England job after the Euros and is getting some experience in. Good luck to him.
  15. Nowadays if I touch anything fizzy then I feel utter shit the next day. I occasionally have a bottle of wine to myself but that's rare, maybe a couple of times a month.
  16. Kinell they look like fresh scratch ones as well. I know hot cross buns are available all year but not ones they make on site, just the brought in ones. That's nuts that they're making them in December. Bastards.
  17. Crushing result. It's surely a question now of whether he is the man to drag us back up next season.
  18. As much as I don't really like ribs anyway, having melon does look a bit odd, even if it's free in the salad bar. I basically went for a bowl of croutons smothered in BBQ sauce.
  19. His second to last over was utter dogshite though which made it a lot closer than it should have been. Still I won a fiver on it, which I'm now in the process of losing again thanks to Hull v Derby.
  20. I went once, it was alright, cheap and cheerful with a salad bar to fill your boots
  21. It seems to me that the terrorist attacks are becoming far more 'professional' and it's due to proper training and organisation by ISIS in their homeland, even if they are largely carried out by homegrown terrorists, so logically it will make us safer if we take them out in Syria. You won't be able to stop an individual terrorist all the time, but the Paris attacks with so many different people involved in different places with precision timing and impact makes the likely death toll much higher. We have foiled seven attempts this year, the idea that they will ignore us because we aren't bombing them is ridiculous, especially as we are bombing them in Iraq anyway. Our missiles are supposed to be the most accurate in the world, as well as our surveillance equipment, we need to add our expertise to the fight to get the best results. We also need UN troops on the ground IMO and it will just be a matter of time.
  22. It was brilliant. I enjoyed Toast of London as well, I've been a bit iffy about it the few times I've watched but I laughed a lot yesterday. I don't know why but the name Penvelope had me in tears, and the weather girl, omg she is fit.
  23. Seems a balanced approach from Garde. Hopefully it gives an opportunity to Adama to come in, and he and Grealish can spur each other on under Remi's guidance as they are our future stars if they fulfil their promise.
