  1. Away to Southampton I think. It hasn't happened very often this season.
  2. Yep sometimes it's easy to forget that he often went weeks playing like a drain for us
  3. Seems as decent an XI as can be expected. Tbf of Remi's matches only the Norwich selection had me howling disgust and that can be partly explained by the fact that it was our second game in three days. Hopefully that's got enough in it to grab a win today, we can pretty much play the formation we finished last season with and should have played a lot more this season.
  4. Only Gestede looks like a rank waste of money to me. Ok this didn't work out, but it's hardly cost us a fortune and they would have assumed he would be fitter than he has turned out to have been. It's understandable that Remi wants to use the loan spot for someone else who will make an instant impact in the first team.
  5. I'm ok if I've got a PowerPoint presentation to spend half my time looking at and jogging my memory as to what I'm supposed to talk about, but I don't think that would work in a best man speech. I gave my mate more than a few hints about choosing someone other than me to be best man for his wedding which I'm glad he took on board. I'd be absolutely shocking.
  6. Hmmmm this window is going to get a bit tiresome with the links to random French players.
  7. My Mum and Dad's house got burgled just before last Christmas, including most the Christmas presents, the TV, my Mum's jewellery and the car, all in broad daylight. Luckily they have enough to take the words removed to court in January and hopefully they'll get at least 7 years and raped by big willies. The ring leader has vanished though, predictably.
  8. I don't know, but Neville walking into a Champions League team in a country where he doesn't speak the language having never managed a game has a touch of the Tim Sherwoods about it, albeit he is clearly less of a complete numpty. It really was a weird move for him. Also, Messi's 500th match for Barca today, bugger me time flies, I remember seeing his first goal.
  9. Indeed, the Norwich selection pissed me off, as much as I think Remi is a good bloke and a decent manager for the long term, even if it's ultimately with a different club to ours. With the second game in quick succession it was a chance just to freshen things up and finally give Traore a start and bring Gil or Grealish in at the tip of the diamond. If Adama was ready for the last 30 minutes, then IMO it would be worth giving him the first 60 to give him a proper chance. Still, I'm intrigued to see what Garde can do in the window and what he can achieve if he brings in some players that he feels he can work with to get us some wins.
  10. Another mention for the 'On Topic' section on here. There's probably a rule against calling people thick as shit on there but it's hard to think of anything else for them. 'Going after Loic Remy, what's the point?', Jesus Christ. Also I saw on the news that there are now such thing as 'digital honeytrappers' that you pay to set up false Facebook accounts to try and see if your partner is willing to cheat on you with them. Piss off! Plus it's windy outside, I **** hate it when it's windy.
  11. The obvious thing is game time, which should lead to goals, then a place at the Euros. Whether Garde can convince him and Chelsea would let him go I'm not so sure, but I hope so.
  12. Today is my first day of being manflu-free in 3 weeks, it was pretty grim and seems to be worse for the fact the temperature has been so mild. It's not been cold enough to kill the germs, well that's my theory anyway. Good luck.
  13. Grade has confirmed Remy is one of the players we hope to sign on loan, it would make more sense to get him on loan than Austin who would only go on a permanent deal and we are way down the list of potential clubs for him. I think Remy would be perfect on loan, hope it happens and quickly.
  14. Alarm bells were ringing when I saw the XI. I've got a lot of time for Garde but I'd have hammered Sherwood or KMac for putting that attack out on the pitch. I understand things like Okore's knee might not being up to another game so quick, plus Richards is first choice centre half and skipper, but with Sanchez out it would have been an opportunity to get Gil or Grealish at the tip of the diamond and then letting Traore loose up top. Just try to see if having made ourselves more solid and harder to beat, we could add a bit more lively attacking play as the next step. I can't help but feel this is two steps back and makes it almost impossible to stay up. Just a bit gutted, really.
  15. I hope he starts the game tomorrow at the tip of the diamond. Would be nice to see Traore play up top alongside Ayew, the movement of those three could give Norwich some headaches. If Sanchez is injured it might force Remi to gamble a little more.
  16. My Nanna went a bit mental and gave all us grandchildren a cheque for a grand each. What a lady. Plus lots of food and drink, very nice indeed. A belated Merry Christmas to everybody.
  17. We got 4 points in 12 matches under Sherwood,we have 4 points under Garde, that's progress surely? Not to mention the improvement of players such as Ayew and Veretout.
  18. I think that's what Platini tried to do, but look where it's got him. He is an utter despot in cloud cuckoo land.
  19. Caron Keating was beautiful back in the day. RIP. Homeland was excellent again, it's been another great series.
  20. I'd be surprised if he wasn't in Garde's long term plans. I would be less surprised if he's had enough of sitting on our bench and wants to head back home where his ability is more likely to be used.
  21. Yep glad that he won. Tonight was a reminder of how useless the rest of the candidates were though, apart from Richard and Charlene to a degree.
  22. I don't think he had midfield legs on the bench to replace any of the four who started, and the conditions weren't right for the likes of Grealish, Traore or Gil to come on and make a difference. I guess Gil for Veretout was the best option but the latter is obviously the set piece taker and with Gestede on that was our most likely source of a winner.
  23. Yes bad first half but I thought gradually as the game wore on he was showing for the ball more and looking to drive on. Still, looking for more from him.
  24. Unarsed? For me the players put absolute total effort into that. Did people not notice it absolutely pissed down with rain, making it twice as hard to run and twice as difficult to play the ball. We even put men forward for the free kick at the end and almost cost ourselves a point on the counter a few times. I'm pretty proud of that second half performance, particularly Ayew and Okore.
