  1. I think he can. Wolves this year were a bit of a one off with their weird Portuguese shenanigans and I suspect the relegated clubs will have trouble like we did with deadwood players that aren't bothered. I'd certainly back us to get to the play offs again under Bruce.
  2. Unfortunately I can't see many goals in that team, plus the two best players will be leaving. I think the loan market is going to be our best chance of success again. Bruce may well be the best manager for that kind of scenario.
  3. Might be a decent replacement for Grealish too
  4. The thing with Bruce is that this last season has been the first in a long time where I can't really fault the effort of any of the squad, whether they're on loan experiended Premier League players, young players like Grealish, free transfers or players already in the squad. That has to be in Bruce's favour, but perhaps negated by his relatively old-fashioned approach to style and tactics. If he stays I think we will still be there or there abouts come play off time even with all the budget cuts, if he leaves we may get a manager that helps the youngsters bloom and we play great stuff, or we could end up with someone who the players don't respond to or actively dislike. There's also the pressure from fans if we get off to a slow start which might destroy a manager not ready for it. I think we'd be better off with Bruce staying but whether he wants to I'm not sure.
  5. Let's face it, pretty much any Premier League manager that isn't interested in signing him is an idiot, bar perhaps the top 2. Here's a gifted English player that is ready for the step up and due to our situation won't cost the ridiculous fees going about.
  6. The only time I've eaten it was in a restaurant just slow cooked, pretty much like any other meat and it was delicious. In fact I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
  7. Nah he's the wrong side of 30, his legs have gone
  8. I'm not sure I could find enough variety of dinners to eat to do it full time. I genuinely don't enjoy the taste of many vegetables, though I guess I could try some of the meat substitutes. I couldn't live without cheese anyway, so veganism isn't an option.
  9. Round are way the birds are singing/minging
  10. Well he should have got us promoted then.
  11. It's the ones where an old person gets out of an armchair and with the effort they unexpectedly let out a fart that slays me. Also at dinner when a ketchup bottle does a raspberry.
  12. I think if Pochettino gets his hands on Jack he will be absolutely brilliant. Anyone else can **** right off.
  13. Without wishing to sound racist, any airline that uses that alphabet (especially if it's Russian) I'd just be happy it landed.
  14. This is usually the kind of shit that happens to us. I actually almost feel sorry for them.
  15. I think it's very unlikely that Bruce will go. Not sure how I feel about it though.
  16. I had no idea he was still on our books
  17. It was good while it lasted. The only way he will stay is if he's manager, or just plays on for the love of it. Tbh if we got promoted I doubt he'd have been able to cope with the Premier League, but he's been fantastic and a shame we couldn't get over the line.
  18. I think Woakes and Wood are both pants. Ball seems the in form bowler but he's been pants for England too. The team has so many holes in it, and they're the same holes they've had for several seasons now. The leadership from Bayliss and Root isn't very inspiring either. We need a big shake up.
  19. I may be wrong but there seems to be fewer teams getting in the shit financially since FFP came in.
  20. I'd love it if Nike had fallen for an email scam
  21. I think it probably is true. Chelsea went as far as substituting him in the 23rd minute of his last match or something daft like that, so him wanting to not play against them seems like something he'd ask for. While he has been great for us, he does have a massive ego too. Personally I think it's weird when players don't celebrate against their old clubs, ok they probably shouldn't go full on Adebayor but to not celebrate a goal is something that pisses me off that probably shouldn't.
