Seems to me that Sterling and Lingard both fulfil a role just with their running around into areas the defenders don't want them. The team is working as a unit and I'd be loathe to change it now.

That was piss easy really. Great stuff, always feel a bit for the Swedes as they play in the right spirit and have done really well in this tournament. Not sure who I'd prefer in the semis.

Sterling playing like a fanny. It's been a bit nervy but Sweden haven't really done anything so far so we've not really got out of second gear. Hopefully we can build a cushion after half time and avoid having to panic at the end.

I think it's a case of classroom 'well they started it' and having a shit teacher who can't control their pupils letting it escalate. I'd be surprised if the game against Sweden will be anything like it.

True there was absolutely no way the Denmark player was doing anything other than hacking the striker's legs away so he wouldn't tap it in the net but proving it is very difficult. I've generally been an advocate of introducing a sin bin for tackles that are more serious than a yellow but not quite a red like this.

I thought Dier had the weirder accent. It may just be the way he talks or having grown up in Portugal he has a slight difference to his accent.
