I've got an old pair of those black Samba Adidas trainers. I thought the whole idea was that they were based on Franz Beckenbauer's boots but to wear casually, so I guess everyone's right. You can't go wrong with Adidas really.

I've been disappointed with the new series of Taskmaster. They seem to have run out of comedians, though Alice Levine is lovely.

It'll be interesting to see who they sign, as Mourinho teams are looking more and more like places where talent goes to die. I guess the wages will attract big players but you have to question their motivation if that's the case.

He's saved the club's arse really. There's no way they should have got themselves into such an awful position. I suppose they got a bit complacent that their model will work repeatedly, and as I have a soft spot for them I hope Hughes gets a decent budget in the summer because they need a serious freshening up.

I've never really been one for aftershave either, just a cheap standard shower gel and the blue Dove For Men deodorant (the only thing that stops me sweating like the proverbial) makes me smell nice enough.

I can kind of get what Dem is saying, there are black comedy aspects to it from what i remember, similar with shows like Breaking Bad. I also found it a bit slow for my taste, a bit like Mad Men.

Absolutely, they think they look like Arnie but look like smackheads who've seen less sun than a snooker player. I even had one come up and ask me for a fag earlier which I **** hate. I wasn't far off scumbag bingo.

I love the heat but as my hairline recedes more and more it's harder to wear a hat without my face going lobster colour and my balding areas remaining white. I think I'm going to look a right clearing in the woods tomorrow.

Bought an overpriced 99 with flake from the ice cream van, dropped it straight on the pavement, swore in front of a queue full of kids and got the dirtiest look from some old bag. 3 quid for a Mr Whippy FFS.

True, I don't really like Gerrard much at all but as you say, at least he is a high profile England player who wants to stay in the game rather than take the easy option of being a shit pundit.

If he is a troll then giving a few pages of replies doesn't help. Anyway I like Gil and if he got another go I'd be fine with it, but I suspect any career with us evaporated within a few months of joining.

Me too, but I've done it the other way round. Love Inside Number 9 but League of Gentlemen I've struggled to get into having started watching it for the first time a month or two ago. New series of Taskmaster tonight

It's funny how New Balance have become popular, I remember growing up my Dad steering me towards NB or Gola football boots and I'd tell him no **** way, I'm having Umbro. Tbf i was thinking how nice some NB stuff was the other day. I just go for Adidas in a shade of brown.

I think mine is also when in France, where I somehow managed to headbutt a small model of the Eiffel Tower and got the point of it stuck in my forehead. Virtually all my early memories are of holiday shenanigans.

Watching Les Mis was one of the worst experiences I've ever paid for. They just never stopped singing and I had no idea what was going on. We'd been to the pub beforehand so I bursting for a piss for almost entire first half and the theatre was too old and cramped to nip out without making a bit of a scene. I know one show is a small sample but I think I hate all musicals.

Exactly, as long as the Doctor gives him a decent pot of money to spend which I should think is likely, Bruce should be able to get mid-table if we go up. Then when it's time to push on to the next level, get someone else in.
