Leeds bus drivers. **** obnoxious jobsworths the lot of them.

Im struggling to work out how a bus driver can be a jobsworth Mike?

OK, try this. They aren't supposed to let people on and off the bus at anywhere except a proper bus stop. Fair enough, health and safety and all that. I can see that they don't want passengers hopping on and off in moving traffic, etc.

But this morning I dropped my car off at the garage for a service, and went for the bus. Saw one coming and ran for it. Didn't quite get to the stop in time, but literally two or three yards (max) beyond the bus stop he had to come to a grinding halt due to the long line of stationary traffic. I caught up and waved at him to open the doors. He simply smirked at me and pointed ahead to the NEXT stop.

So I walked up to the next stop while he sat in the traffic jam twiddling his thumbs. When he rolled up I got on and offered him my considered opinion on his helpfulness. Got another smirk/scowl combination.

This is ENTIRELY typical. I've lived here for nearly 40 years, and they've always been the same. Driving half-empty buses straight past shivering queues while laughing their heads off, not letting you put your bag next to you on the seat (even though the bus is otherwise empty), throwing old ladies off for not having the right change, you name it.

I've never come across behaviour like it on buses anywhere else in the country (or the world, for that matter). Twunts.

I can confirm that this behaviour is typical of Leeds bus drivers (I lived there for 3 years)

We got on a bus on the way out once. 6 of us, no drink involved at this point. bus was fairly full so we weren't the only ones on it.

Anyway, the fare at the time was £1. We all gave the driver our 1 pound coins and got on, apart from when it came to my mate at the back. The driver glanced at his pound coin and said "That's fake, you're not coming on", and tried to chuck him off the bus. Luckily we had loads of change so just paid for him.

But then we compared the coin to all the others in our pockets and it was identical. looked the same, weighed the same, felt the same, it was the same.

Even if it was a fake, the driver glanced at it momentarily before declaring with all certainty it was fake. now unless this guy is some sort of undercover FBI coin forgery specialist, i'd guess it was impossible to tell with that momentary glance.

Is it a coincidence that my mate who he tried to refuse entry to the bus was black? I couldn't possibly say, you decide.

People who steadfastly refuse to visit their GP even when they've been ill for 4 weeks

I've had this lingering cold/flu since before the new year, I can barely keep my eyes open past 7.30 at night, yesterday I had my first day off work in 3 years and went to see the doctor. He basically told me to piss off and get out of his office as there was nothing he could do. "take paracetamol" was his advice.

Dr's are over-rated.

Patient - "morning Dr."

Doctor - "morning, how can i help?

Patient - "i fell over last night and im getting terrible pain and alot of swelling around my knee" (lifts up trouser leg)

Doctor - "oh...looks swollen!"

Patient - "i just told you..."

Doctor - "does it hurt when you walk?"

Patient - "yes...ive already told"

Doctor - "take some anti-inflammatory's and some pain killers, and if its still bad in a week, go up the hospital and get an x-ray"

Patient - "........"

Doctor - "good day to you...Mrs. Saunders to room 3 please"

People who leave rubbish on the side in the kitchen when there is a bin about 2 yards away.

This used to piss me off no end at Uni.

I can understand people leaving dirty dishes around the place, because it's an effort to clean them up.

But seriously, rubbish? It's in no way hard to put it in the bin. It's not even Lazy, it's more deliberately annoying.

Or neighbours who put their rubbish out on a Saturday when the collection isn't until Monday morning. Can't remember the last time it wasn't already ripped to shreds by local cats and foxes by Sunday morning.

Wouldn't pee me off quite so much if they didn't insist on putting it on my garden rather than theirs.

People who complain about adverts, TV programmes, films, radio etc.

I mean you know what the TV programme is about, then dont watch the **** thing if the subject offends you! I mean the people who complained about the Ross and Brand thingy on the radio are just sad! Lighten the **** up or dont listen or watch it.

I mean have you got nothing better to do in your boring mundane sad excuse for a life than complain to OFCOM?

You sound like an ideal flatmate. My flatmate is so OCD the tiniest of a mark on say a baking tray will demand a flat meeting.

Women who get flu and it takes forever, like a month plus, to get rid. Just unreal.

The harping on part of a woman getting the flu pisses me off the most. The amount of people they ring telling them about it they might as well have just rang the local rag for a story.

People who leave stuff on top of a flip-top bin so you have to move it any time you want to put rubbish in.

In my world that gets flipped onto the floor by the lid. They can put it back themselves if they want.
