Christian Benteke

Doubt he will sign a longer deal, just one on more money.

4-year-deal would mean we get the best price possible next summer if we sell him, which if he does sign would be in the interest of all parties should we promise him his move.

Yeah, if it's a 4 year deal there'll be something written into it that'll benefit him in terms of moving next year if he wants to

Maybe a clause stipulating if he completes certain targets we will allow him to leave for X amount.

I am not ITK but I have been fed word that if an offer of around £25-£30 were to come in for benteke, he will be sold.

I would love to see Benteke stay, but every player has their price and I would have confidence in Lambert spending the money wisely.  I remember being gutted when Villa sold Andy Gray to Wolves, but we replaced him with Peter and the rest is history.

sorry

I might buy him at that price!!!

sorry typo, but we have to understand that this is business and to turn down a £20m profit within 12 months is daft. even if he has a similar impact this season, his price will probably be around the £20m area at the end of the season

I wonder how much influence; if any; the amount of early transfer business we're doing in the window will encourage Benteke to stay if he was unsure of the decision beforehand.

I have also had from the same 'scource' that benteke himself is completely happy at villa, and is in now way 'looking' for a move. His agent is a word removed apparently. also weimann was never ever leaving and told his agent to stop being a word removed. we made him 1 offer, and weimann accepted.

i think you have to pay and join up to see how the rankings work

and its based purely on last season, and i think a lot of players (pretty much everyone at man city for instance) had quiet seasons last year

Isn't that the very definition of 'In the know'?  :detect:
