Crowley won't be much taller and like Bannan plays in midfield. They could think the fans won't support any midfielder from the academy below a minimum height threshold, which will make it tough for the manager to give him opportunities. The production line keeps rolling, hopefully there is a superstar in there. It's a slap in the face for Villa that he has chosen to pursue his career elsewhere, no doubt about that. Just hope he can give Villa credit for something later rather than let whichever team he goes to take the glory for finding him. What he's done suggests that really great young talents, if they are early developers, will try like crazy to get to the highest profile clubs as soon as they can. So it will be impossible for a young superstar like Wayne Rooney or Jack Wilshire to ever make a breakthrough into a team outside the Champions League clubs. How many other kids in his age group would think about that pass and have the composure to execute it, set up a volley chance for the striker, on the edge of the opposition penalty box under so much pressure from the defenders?
