I do remember you avoiding every question about your stance and quite clear hypocrisy on the Trump saga. We have the same sort of issues over in the UK though, so it's not a biggie. Some people tie themselves to the mast with say BoJo or Corbyn and refuse to listen to any fact presented 'because..innit.'

It's good to see that facts are purely subjective in the US nowadays. I see a Neo-Nazi with a t-shirt mocking holocaust survivors, you see ANTIFA. I see Trump's tweets about not being evacuated to the bunker, you see him being evacuated, probably because of ANTIFA.

The path that a lot of Trumpsters are on is reminiscent of the 1930's in Europe. Sadly American history lessons don't cover how populism and division has essentially tore our continent up and led to the murder of millions of people purely on the fact that someone can peddle his alternative facts on race and 'othering' of people. In Europe Trump would be put so far right on the spectrum that Orban and Duda looks like socialists compared to him.

That's navel gazing and objectively silly.

You are projecting. Invoking Nazi's to smear me. Please stop doing that.

Also, ANTIFA doesn't exist or so the story goes.

Blinken out laying down the law. Iran must comply with the agreement that the US broke and is no longer party to (and then sanctioned Iran because), before the US will sit down and consider removing Trump's policy.

Embassy good and sticky in Jerusalem too. Shocking, I tells ya!

Neo-libs on the march.

You are right the fascist, nazi, racist tropes are thrown around far too often.

But your posts do smear for themselves though.

So Trump has parted company with his Lawyers a week before his impeachment trial.  That seems sensible.

Are there many more large reputable firms he can turn to now? He seems to have gone through a load of them.

At this stage with 45 Senators on official record saying it’s unconstitutional trial I’m not sure what he needs to do.

Does anybody know what is the minimum needed from him.  Can he just submit a summary brief back saying it’s unconstitutional thus the trial is moot in some form, attach the reference of the 45 Senator no vote and that’s it from his side.  Maybe a representative turn up a week latter at the trial and submit the same response in verbal form???  It would make the House Managers argument look farcical when they are talking for days.

Would be interested if anybody knows....

Reality is that Trumps people will spend days spouting about the election being stolen and think they are being validated by a non-conviction.  This will be just a PR exercise for Trump now, especially as he seems to have no lawyers on his team.  It will just be PR type people.

Political justice won’t be served with non-conviction, just hope other legal avenues outside the political arena will have better justice.

3 US warships currently meandering about the Black Sea.

The US very unhappy over the ethnic cleansing regime being replaced by a new regime in Myanmar. Let's see if the old Suu Kyi playbook is dusted off.

Freedom.

I'm not sure why anybody *wouldn't* be 'unhappy' about a military coup. It's not in any way a defence of ASSK to doubt that the military junta are going to be any more respectful of the rights of the Rohingya.

US unhappiness about military coups tends to be related to who is doin' the coupin'.

Of course, but just completely ignoring America for a minute, what on Earth is supposed to be the progressive reason to be pleased by the Burmese military seizing control?

Sometimes a thing that the American government doesn't like can still be a bad thing in itself.

Such a shame about US warships patrolling the world after Trump showed enormous self control keeping them all in the US for the last few years.

If you gave a shit about Muslims being killed in Myanmar you would have mentioned it before when it was being ignored by worldwide leadership, rather than waiting for a chance to snipe at Trump's enemies.

At least you've showed some consistency for once in supporting both coups this month.

Absolutely, and pardon me if I came across that way, it's difficult to think of many occasions where a military coup has been a good thing and this one certainly doesn't appear to be one of those occasions. Just a comment on whether there'll be commensurate action.
