There was a fair amount of criticism and attention towards Trump's family, but only because he directly involved them in his administration.

And they were openly using their newfound status to enrich themselves by the billion. What Ivanka and Kushner did was exponentially worse than the things Hunter is being indicted for, and they've gotten away with it. And of course, the Republicans had no problem whatsoever with their corruption and grifting.

What is there left to say? The hypocrisy, the double standards and the pure lying to manipulate the narrative. We are in a post truth world orchestrated by one party, fueled and funded by bad actors.

Their cynicism,  nihilism and fundamental lack of faith in the country is profound. Their reckless neglect of democratic traditions and their embrace of fascist populism is manifestly what their party was always going to evolve into. Eight years of a black presidency was enough for them to push all their chips in for an openly white supremacist despot.

The United Auto Workers strike presents a challenging conundrum for the American Left wing who historically support striking workers. The primary point of contention for UAW is the threat to jobs posed by the transition to electric vehicles, which the Left obviously supports as well.

It poses a big problem for Biden and the Democrats heading into the election next year. Trump and the Republicans will seize on this by saying the "coastal elite" Dems want to destroy blue collar jobs in the heartland by mandating the switch to EVs. It will be a very effective wedge issue for the GOP.

Ultimately, the switch has to happen and plants that make mufflers and fuel injectors etc. will have to close or be retrofitted to make batteries. But there will be inevitable layoffs, because you need fewer workers to manufacture batteries.

It's a real bitch of a situation.

So Biden actually is Steve Rodgers/Captain America? Joe Biden the time traveler is gonna doom us all.

His supporters are claiming he is saying “We’ll be in world war too” not “World War Two”.

Next year is going to be messy.

Must be some deep fake/AI nonsense?

Nope, it's a thing, well it's not a thing but its a theory by ... Right wing petrochemical loving nutjobs, that the noise from offshore windfarms is killing whales

As usual, there is ZERO evidence

Also as usual, the orange one latches onto these nutty theories and promotes them

There has been a recent increase in whales being beached off the coast of New Jersey and one theory is the noise from the wind farms is causing it.

It seems like scientists are still gathering evidence but plenty have made their minds up already along the usual political lines regarding wind farms.

Coincidentally, there is absolutely proof from Bidlife UK that offshore windfarms have, together with other factors (climate) decimated sea bird populations around the Isle of Man.

Manx BirdLife seabird census finds worrying declines

Quote

Results from the 2017-18 Census reveal that eight seabird species have suffered significant declines, with population losses of up to eighty-two per cent. Just three species – Manx Shearwater, Cormorant and Common Guillemot – have shown sustained increases. And thanks to efforts by DEFA wardens on the north coast, populations of the Island’s only two nesting species of Tern, Arctic and Little, have been sustained.

I don't know about whales, but the science around birds\fish breeding grounds being disturbed by wind farms is fairly concrete. Wind isn't all that green as many (including myself) thought it was.

Wind turbines also shed a whole lot of PFAS and micro-plastics, a study in Norway's found PFAS and micro plastics from turbines on dead sea birds as far as 200kms away from the nearest wind farm. Norway's banned all new builds with this technology until it's established what is causing the constant leak of PFAS.

NGO raises concerns over environmental impact of chemicals used in in wind turbine blades

They've got all these very highly paid people, sat around for who knows who long so they can say yes or no, one at a time and have it written down, in 2023? **** hell.

In fairness we aren't much better.

Shout loudly for your position and if there's not an obvious winner, spend 15 minutes walking through a lobby while a tally is taken and the whips make notes of who to blackmail.
