Lack of consistency gets me. i like him but I thought he had another dissapointing performance game yesterday and I cant get away from the fact he has only scored 1 goal this season.

If he wasn't a local lad and gives us a laugh now and again would he be given as much chances?

If he was covered in hair, had four legs and a tail he'd be a dog.

:crylaugh:

Away from home he's a good player and fits our counter attacking tactics well, one of the first names on the teamsheet AWAY from home.

But at Villa Park against deep defences it's all huff and puff with little end product. Infairness it's the same for a lot of our players. It's always a negative tone for me when I see KEA's name on the teamsheet at VP but he has done well in a few away games this year.

Just with Gabby a senior player now and having played well for us in previous seasons I expect a bit better from him against opposition like Crystal fecking Palace.

I'd keep Gabby but just start him away from home, for home games he should be on the bench more often than he is (hardly ever) and would be if we were a top 6 standard team.

In fairness that shows how easy it is to be an armchair manager just typing that rather than telling him that to his face as the actual manager!

Sell Gabby for £10 million.

Wage bill reduced, cash can be invested in a creative player.

Gabby is a specialist squad player.  He is not doing well in a squad like Villa's where he has to be our play-maker and top scorer. He would be better in a side with a deep bench coming on as sub or played away from home in a defensive counter-attack unit.
