Premier League quality players don't need League One experience

I don't even know where to start with this one, sorry. Jesus.

I have never seen Luke Shaw, Raheem Sterling, Jack Wilshere, Daniel Sturridge etc playing in League One.

Couldn't someone just as easily make a list of 'famous' players who haven't had a loan outside the premiership?

It proves nothing.

He didn't say the players didn't get league one experience. He wrote they didn't need it.

How does he know the above listed players didn't need experience outside the Premier League? Maybe that is why they were sent on loan and not introduced straight into the first team.

Carruthers is strong (rode three challenges to score his goal at the weekend), physical, great range of passing, can tackle, score and dribble.

How much better than Westwood does Lambert need him to be?

Would they have become great players without these experiences?

Did Cahill learn anything from his loan or did he learn at Bolton?

A loan is good in my opinion, I mean playing for three important points is what it is all about :)

Carruthurs don't play centrall though, certainly not as a central midfielder.

He did in the next gen final and I'm sure that's where he has been for mkdons

Yep, he's a central midfielder alright, during the next gen was a lot deeper and was captain IIRC.

Considering they are completely different types of players, not at all?

It's like asking how well does Kagawa or Powell have to play for Utd to displace Carrick, it doesn't matter as they are different types of midfielders and not like for like switches.

Can confirm Samir is defo CM these days and Con is right that he's developed a lot since McLeish days much more physicality in his game rather than just being box tricks.

Others are right though that he wouldn't be competing with Westwood, he'd be challenging Sylla, KEA and possibly Gardner for box to box role in a middle three

Carruthers is now a completely different type of footballer to the one that got a few substitute appearances under McLeish.

I.e. he plays in central midfield.

So you're saying that Samir Carruthers is as good as them?

Con Rodriguez wasn't loaned to burnley. He was their player and moved to Southampton for £7m

That's right I mean't to delete him from the list.

Still made his way through the lower divisions and was loaned while out at Burnley.
