Overseeing a transfer policy that has seen them spend ridiculous money on flops and sell the family jewels for a pittance. Not a massive loss.

Not sure it was her but whoever sold guehi and Tomori last summer whilst Christensen Rudiger and dave all wound down their contract should be shown the door this summer

Azpilicueta has a year left on his deal. Rudiger probably would have stayed if no sanctions

Apparently Christensen agent lied to Chelsea a lot. Christensen also didn't want to play a game or two according to Tuchel

Cucurella would be a good signing for them imo, in the 2-0 when we beat Brighton at home he was quite impressive and got plenty of crosses in which deserved better from their attackers. With Chilwell do they need him though, thats one of the questions but at the end of the day he is a good attacking fullback and could play further forward too.

Just saw this on the BBC (post time 13:17)

Who is the prat kidding? The owners test was in place for both City and Newcastle so there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Abramovich would have passed even if it had been in place.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters accepts there were "genuine concerns" a purchase would not be completed by the government's deadline of the end of May.However, it does raise further questions about the effectiveness of the Premier League's owners' and directors' test - which assesses the suitability of those seeking to buy or help run a

"It is difficult to say with hindsight that it [the Abramovich era] has all been good given what has transpired over the last six to nine months," Masters said.

"There wasn't an O&D test when Roman Abramovich took over ownership of Chelsea. Had there been, you have to ask would it have happened and if so, what safeguards would you bring in the future?"

Looking at chelsea it does seem like they are going fir a lower calibre of players than they were under roman.

50m for that brighton player, 20m for chuck. 70m on two players who are not that great

Desperation from the new owner. He's just getting in who he can and overpaying for the privilege.

They have no behind the scenes setup. Cech was doing a lot and he left along with Marina and the old chairman

Tuchel is pretty much doing the coaching and director of football job at moment, so its probably good news for Carney that he is a Tuchel signing

Are they buying everyone?

They've already spent a fortune on Sterling, Koulibaly, Chukwuemeka and that goalkeeper fella and are now looking at bringing in De Jong, Cucurella and Fofana for about £200m.

I wonder if there's a part of that that's about the new owners making sure that they protect the brand - a sort of 'nothings changed, we're still going to spend' mentality for their first summer so as not to scare the sponsors.

They lost a lot in summer especially in defence plus Lukaku and Alonso wants out too. Seems Kepa going too

Well, Cucurella takes them to £164m in this window - with a couple of targets that could cost them another £130m.

The most any team has ever spent in a single window is the £272m Real Madrid spent (pretty badly) in the summer of 2019.

Chelsea on course to be the biggest spending team in one window in the history of the game.

They're serious.

I don't think they are. Cabt see them spending like this every window its just not doable.

I think chelseas business has been average to poor for the volume spent

Bid £15m for aubameyang

Not sure if it's case of they don't know what they're doing or if scouts just refuse to see what a waster he is, awful attitude

Seen them linked to Maguire as well. Feels like they need a new DoF/chief scout more than any player atm.
