The Comet is Coming - Channel the Spirits

The probably next to worthless 3rd pressing from this year, as I was somewhat late to the party with these but I do find myself listening to them an awful lot this year

Put this on because I stumbled across it in the yellow wing of the collection.

1.0 it was surprisingly not as awful as I remembered from when I last played it about 20 years ago.

2.0 it was very very 1991

3.0 it has a second remix album in there, which I had absolutely no memory of.

But still very awful?

I once had Mr Hooton in the back of my cab, the conversation got around to people who can't sing getting to number one, he named someone (I forget who) to which I commented, yeah but evenhe wasn't the worst.

He took the bait and asked me...

Tip gone!

EDIT: Does the remix album have the Gary Allen mix of Stepping Stone on it?

No, they’re all Terry Farley mixes from what I can see.

It’s not the deepest most sophisticated thing I’ve ever listened to and I suspect that having been found, it will now be down the garage by the end of the weekend to make some space.

Have had this on over the last few weeks and whilst it’s got a natural summery feel it somehow even makes the wet winter weather tolerable!

The new Temples album is a good listen too!

I am listening to an album by Dion called Born To be With You. Its upsetting that I am only just hearing it for the first time, its taking my breath away. Its effortlessly good.

I am still listening to this, its the best album I have heard this year, astonishing.

The best album John Lydon ever made by a long distance. PiL - Metal Box

As soon as Wobble left PiL my interest waned, I have Flowers of Romance but never really connected with it.

This is a CD version issued in 1990 (in a replica tin, just like the original vinyl)

CDs rarely increase in value so its a bit of a shocker to see its median price on Discogs is £18ish, the highest price being paid is in the £40 region!
