B****** Guessing '1' might have got in there, if they hadn't released the stereo black and mono white boxes around the same time? They all had the same songs. Quite surprised the Plant and Krauss 'Raising Sand' didn't make it. Was in the studio for the two Dido albums, back in the mists.

useless
The list doesn't include compilations or greatest hits, and is based on sales only, if it included streams you'd probably have Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, One Direction and others in there, they don't even make the rest of the top forty. Spoiler 11) Lady Gaga - The Fame 12) Kings of Leon - Only By The Night 13) Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head 14) Michael Buble - Christmas 15) Dido - Life For Rent 16) Take That - Beautiful World 17) Keane - Hopes and Fears 18) Coldplay - X&Y 19) Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters 20) Coldplay - Parachutes 21) Norah Jones - Come Away With Me 22) Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 23) Sam Smith - In The Lonely Hour 24) Ed Sheeran + 25) Snow Patrol - Eyes Open 26) Adele - 19 27) Emeli Sande - Our Version Of Events 28) Robbie Williams - Swing When You're Winning 29) Take That - Progress 30) The Killers - Hot Fuss 31) Green Day - American Idiot 32) Take That - The Circus 33) Duffy - Rockferry 34) Robbie Williams - Sing When You're Winning 35) Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way 36) Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane 37) Robbie Williams - Escapology 38) Kaiser Chiefs - Employment 39) Motion Picture Cast Recording - The Greatest Showman 40) Rihanna - Loud Edited October 13, 2019 by useless

Ah so, this is only albums originally released from 2000 onwards? In that case David Gray shouldn't even be in the list. Originally released on an indie in 1998 (I actually have a copy on CD from the original release), so I'm concluding from that, that these are industry figures from the BPI and therefore about as trustworthy as Boris Johnson let loose in a TfL bus depot overnight

Useless says no streams, dunno if paid download is included?
useless
My mistake it's actually based on streams as well... ' To mark the occasion, Official Charts is revealing the UK's Top 40 biggest studios albums of the 21st Century. The chart, which aired as a special Pick of the Pops on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds between 1pm - 3pm, is based on physical sales, downloads and streams since January 1 2000. There is a Cowell presence, but not as much a he would have liked. No randoms, like a Robson & Jerome or Wombles from previous generations. It is lowest common denominator by definition. It really could have been much worse. Dappy didn't get on On the bright side, reckon you'd get them all in glorious 1411kbps sound by visiting any 3 different Poundlands. bickster Posted October 18, 2019 Moderator Share Posted October 18, 2019 First pressing on black wax from 2015. Fairly typical fair from Les Liminanas with a bit of Pascal Comelade eccentricity thrown in One of those records that the first pressing doesn't seem to be as valuable as the represses on coloured vinyl. Who cares, its a great record

chrisp65
Been nosing around HMV rather than doing the hubby trailing behind thing in Primark. Bloody hell I can only imagine they’ve changed their buyers or their stock policy or something. Stuff worth buying all over the place. Still a bit on the expensive side, but I’ve come out with a new wish list. First time that’s happened in HMV in quite a while.

They've also got a featuring local bands thing coming up because my mate from work's band are going to get display space when the album comes out. Prices still silly though I've got my eye on a few Jazz reissues for a tenner though but that is way down the list January sale might be interesting for once though
