A quite a good shot was needed, with several players between Bacuna and goal. Never a sitter for me.

Not your point, I know. But seen it thrown around here and don't agree.

Agree! But still, Hutton almost got an assist, plus he was involved in the first goal.

Hutton gets slated

But he's actually underrated

Plays with heart

He's good enough to start

Wish people would get off his back

Cut him some slack

Because he's Alan Hutton and he's better than you know

Certainly good enough for where we plan to go

I've got no problem with him as a person

It's just you could hardly call him Paul Merson

Every time we're on the attack

He turns around and plays it back

When he's behind the play and calling for the ball

I don't think he's a very good footballer at all

Unless we sign 4 defenders this January - because of our lack of depth in numbers and strength, I don't think Hutton will / should be the first out the door.  I hope by the end of Jan he is on the bench at best (although I'd rather a new RB and then Bacuna on the bench).  Come the summer, he can move to Scotland as he is not good enough for either the PL or even for a promotion campaign.

just from the highlights in the Burton thread there were 3 occasions where Huttons defending ability - or lack of - could have lead to goals. Excluding him standing and watching a scissor kick fly into the net

How shite does shite have to be?
