Last time he played he received a round of applause after a relatively decent showing. In fact, every time I've seen him this season he has played at minimum OK, at best good and has always "got stuck in". The circumstances in which we signed him are gone now. Gerard Houllier is gone. McLeish seems willing to give him chances (though I think he needs a run) and I really don't think we're in a position to start a witch hunt against decent midfielders considering we're not exactly blessed with them.
