Rino8 Posted August 14, 2010 Visiting Supporter Share Posted August 14, 2010 This rain is pretty spectacular. Downing looking like the player we thought we would get.
dotcomsimon
I was in that rain at half time when I popped the shop - I got soaked
lexicon
Downing is looking sharp today. He is - I really think scoring that goal will do his confidence a lot of good. He'll bang in one of these free kicks sooner or later too.
daft
When we played well under MON, it wasn't exactly much difference to this tbf. I didn't dare say that, but I agree. it was all too rare though, and we always reverted to type thats what annoyed me the most. ANYONE could see this is how our squad can play, this is their natural game, not hoofing and shitting themselves Mate, I agree, we are playing well. But for your own sake, do realize that we have only played 50 minutes of a 38 league game long season. The lads are doing very well, but there is a very long way to go yet before we can start saying things like that. I hope it continues mind you, just don't expect to never see any poor games again or you'll be disappointed.
SilverPeacock
Let's hope the rain doesn't effect the flow of the game, if you see my meaning.

ender4
what was standard under MON is that doesn't matter how well we played for the first hour, we'd always fade & panic in the last 20 mins or so. i hope that has now changed.
P3te
oh therell be poor games, but once we try to stick with this mentality ill be happy

rjshare
sorry - we never ever played like this under mon because we never ever had young playing in a free role in the middle with a left winger on the left wing, a right winger on the right wing and two full backs playing as full backs. football doesnt have to be complicated...
