    Managers like Moyes and Coyle will take us back to the 'British' way of doing things , undoing the foundations that have been laid for the future in terms of a passing and possession based team. If GH decides to hang up his boots, i'd like a foreign manager who believes in continental style football and takes the progress we've made to another level.

    A couple of ball playing defenders in the summer and we are set. That was a proper footballing performance , swift incisive passing , dominating the ball and pressing off it. That's how we will play when Houllier's 'makeover' of this team is complete.

    We need to **** off the likes of Ireland from the team and slowly phase out Petrov who is on his last legs. Bannan has a big part to play in our evolution to a passing , technical style of play. All the bollocks about being too small phsyically to make it in this league , I present to you Cesc Fabregas and Jack Wilshere. Technique is what its all about . Next season NRC and Bradley - Options for DM Bannan , Makoun , Bradley - Options for CM. --------------Bradley--------------- ------Makoun----------Bannan----- Playing bannan in AM will be a waste as he will receive a lot more attention from opposition defenders and won't have time and space on the ball. Play him deeper where he can het on the ball under less pressure and use his expansive range of passing to great effect.

    Not really convinced by Petrov starting ahead of NRC. Makoun and NRC would have been better imo , more solid defensively.

    Chris Foy is going to be the Mancs biggest threat. He is not Howard Webb but he is a good substitute. Don't be surprised to see a penalty denied , a red card not given or something like that happening to decide the match. It ALWAYS happens. If the ref does not go out of his way to please his paymasters , we have a decent chance. We outplayed them at VP for 80 odd minutes before running out of steam.

    Thats the 8th highest transfer fee paid for any player in any league btw , up with the likes of Zidane , Figo and Ronaldo. Makes it even more ridiculous. I would be surprised if he scores as many as Torres did for them. Torres in his first season was literally unplayable.

    This. Even tho he is a complete word removed, I wanted Carroll to succeed and become a great player because he is English and thought it would be good for the national side. Now, if he joins plop I hope he flops. Big style. Makes 24 million for Bent look like an absolute bargain , doesn't it?

    Im seeing ALOT of sideways and backwards passing in that. I also note how not a single cross into the box was successfull. Not good for a winger. But of course , you cannot always play a hollywood ball/cross , ball retention is important. Crosses are only deemed successful if they are connected with, it does not indicate anything about the quality of the crosses.
