  1. Bruce has a fantastic Championship record and he brought together a great mentality and team spirit this year. You're not going to get the most exciting football but he will grind out results and get us in upper section of the table. Why throw it all away to take a punt and gamble on someone else? This is club has been crying out for stability and he brings a team together so let's give him another shot at it I say.

    Thank you mate.

    Getting to VP

Haven't been to VP for a couple seasons and the bus I used to go on no longer runs and need a bit of help with traveling to VP. (Searched the forum for a different thread but couldn't find anything so apologies if I've missed one) What's it like at the Aston and witton train stations? I'm guessing it's ridiculously busy? I'll be coming from the M6. Found the car parks on the OS but doesn't really tell you how likely you are to get a space, whether you're going to be queued for 7 hours after the game or if it's a dodgy walk to the ground etc. Alternatively any advice or suggestions on car parks would be appreciated.

    Mosaic

Guessing I'll be fine if I take in and blow up claret and blue balloons?
  5. Just what I've been told. No idea if Villa are interested in selling or not though.
  6. Just because he's signed doesn't mean he's a starting player we are relying on. Good player who could be used well as a squad and impact player and who can play in first team when other players are injured. We've got to build a good squad not just first team. Fact he is Villa through and through is great too. Not enough players with loyalty nowadays.
  7. I hope we didn't buckle and meet his wage demands.
  8. I would say that Villa have been mislead with the TC deal. Annoying but this is business and maybe Villa guilty of being a bit naive?
  9. Not really sure who he would replace. See him playing in Delph's role but I think Delph is better and according to that report we've offered him first team football.
  10. The only two positions I can see us going for is a central midfielder and a wide/flair player. We have a reasonable size squad already. Would be good to get rid of a couple of fringe players.

    Tom Fox

Is Tom Fox the person who will now make decisions on manager's future and transfers?
  12. I went a couple of years ago with 6 mates. As long as you leave your principles and morals at home you'll have a blast! I went for 7 nights and when you're getting in at 6 every morning you will be ready for home after that! If you plan on getting plastered every night you probably won't want to do an awful lot of activities. We went on an organised day to a water park which was brilliant. They shut the park off to the public after a certain time and we had unlimited sangria in the price we paid and they left some of the slides open. People went down the slides together, straight after each other all peed up... It was chaos. Would never happen in England. Majority of other days we just recovered at the beach, pool or just like playing table tennis or whatever. Also I would add to be sensible to a certain extent. One of my mates got beaten up by a security guard after jumping in the pool in middle of night, heard of quite a few pick pockets and a random kid walked in our room too. Also I'd pre drink to keep costs down!
  13. Both smell of cheap temporary fixes to me.
  14. I like Lambert and believe he is proud to be our manager too. Would like to see him given an opportunity with new back room staff to freshen things up and the chance to purchase players on a higher (but not astronomical) wage.
  15. That SimonT claimed to be itk a while ago and spouted lots of bull and I unfollowed him. Unless he has new sources (which I doubt). It's a load of crap.
  16. Have a day off. Were financially stable(ish), still in premier league and could be taken over by someone with fresh ideas and more £££. If we were in administration and relegated I'd kind of understand.
  17. All depends how long the talks have been ongoing for. There's so much ground work which needs to be done before negotiations begin to take place e.g. valuations of assets, checking accounts, checking potential for expansion. Hopefully the fact that the lawyers may be over here would mean that the majority of the groundwork has been completed and negotiations are underway.
  18. I'm surprised Mat Kendrick hasn't put anything out about it yet. I reckon he has more info which will be released shortly
  19. That local journo made a joke about Belhanda too not long ago...
  20. It's only a 6 month deal. Of course I'm not jumping for joy but he isn't going to be starting up top on his own next match.
  21. Didn't HH say he wouldn't cost a lot and wages wouldn't be massive? The way I read it I thought it sounded as though they had already been given a rough idea on price.
  22. Like him. Think he could help us keep possession better however I worry that he's into his thirties. I suppose he wouldn't be expected to be sprinting down the wings so his experience on the ball is what they're looking at. I'd be happy to see this deal done.
