beasley14
Played really well today, not sure ive seen someone keep Bale so quiet. Bale is so overhyped, but Eric did really well. He has developed brilliantly.
andym
start him instead of young from now on. lets see if he can do it over an extended period. young has been poor this season and isnt going to get any better. lichaj's long throws could also come in handy

PauloBarnesi
Physically he was very impressive; ran and ran for the whole game and an excellent performance in a pile of poo.
Condimentalist
Young needs to be going to left back when he's fit. True.
Qwpzxjor1
Must admit, I am very surprised by him. Only a couple of games so far, but if he keeps up this sort of form in the Premiership then he'll be our first choice right back easily. Bale did nothing today. Just a shame they had van der Vaart back.
C4rvillan
He's great UNTIL he makes a mistake and then the knives will come out as usual.
Qwpzxjor1
Almost certainly. But credit where it's due..
theunderstudy
Oh of course he'll be laid into when he makes a mistake. Everyone is at Villa, seemingly.

Zatman
2 very good games and he gave Bale nothing. Made a brilliant tackle in first half when Bale cut in to centre of pitch. As i dont rate Luke Young and Warnock id say he is probably our best full back which is worrying considering its only his 2nd Premier League
Jon
Yeah, he was a real plus point yesterday. Got a big future IMO.
avfcmatt123
Lichaj was brilliant yesterday. Bale wasn't in the game. I agree with Warnock however he looks ok going forward in my opinion just awful defensively.
sellyoakvilla
I really rate Lichaj, think he has a great future at the club alongside Clark, Albrighton, Bannan, Hogg, Weimann... the future is very bright and in two years they could all be regular first teamers
berneboy
I thought Lichaj did well yesterday but he shows inexperience as you would expect. We can't have too much inexperience at the same time.
Hanky
Against the less aerial teams I'd like to see a defence of... Lichaj-Cuellar-Clark-L.Young ...as first choice now, perhaps Collins in for the Stokes and Blackburns of this world. Don't think it'd be any worse at the moment. TheTransferWindow
Lichaj signed as an almost 19 year old amateur with a broken leg a little over 3 years ago. He had to rehab his injury plus learn a lot of the basics and just how to be a professional. For him to now be going up against the Sky Sports Greatest Left Winger in the History of the World and keeping him mostly quiet is a pretty good story. The coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for developing him to this point.
