Anyone Watching A Good Tv Show?

Agreed. Breaking Bad is up there only with The Wire as one of the best bits of television I have seen in the past 20 years. The synopsis can be seen as a bit "meh" when you think about it. Man takes ill, turns to a live of crime, he doesnt realise what he has let himself in for until it all spirals horribly out of control. Its not really about that though, the great thing about Breaking Bad is the moment to moment stuff. How the show manages to be both incredibly dark and incredibly light hearted at the same time is worth the admission fee alone.

I pity anyone who doesn't bother giving Breaking Bad a decent chance once they're aware. I can guarantee they'll enjoy it, without fear of losing face.

The Bridge starts on BBC 4 on Saturday night at 9.00pm with a double episode...

another danish crime series made by the same people who did The Killing...

its getting very good reviews...

im half way through season 4 of Dexter and think i'll have an absolute marathon tonight....

In my opinion Deborah is the greatest female character i have seen written for TV.....

such a superb character and when you add it to the other terrific characters (inc. Dexter) you've got one hell of a show!

Anyone catch Louis Theroux's documentary last week? Looked at autistic kids and their families in New Jersey, which has an exceptionally high rate of autism, 1 in 29 as opposed to 1 in 100 roughly in the UK.

I think it might have been one of the best things he's done. He had little to say, or even much of a point to make, unlike a lot of his other work. He just looked a few families and how they coped. Quite a tough watch at times too. The family with young autistic twins effectively told him their life was over. Another mother told him she felt her (severely autistic and prone to violent outbursts) son, was a punishment from God.

There a second show later this week on dementia, which I kinda hope is in a similar vein.

I watched that too and am a big fan of his.

I had no idea that autism could be so bad and it was indeed difficult viewing at times.

Louis seemed a bit alarmed when Nicky started to read out his Wikipedia page.

He explained that in an interview on 5Live. He didn't feel comfortable with even a slight shift of focus away from the subject matter and on to him.

I just watched the Autism episode on iPlayer and it's as good as anything Louis Theroux has ever done.

I have a cousin who has learning difficulties, so for me personally it was interesting to see a wide spectrum of other kids who have the same problem.

This is the sort of thing that everyone should watch and become more aware of, especially people who go around using the term 'window-licker' or other such things. Maybe if people opened their minds a bit more and learned more about this sort of thing then there wouldn't so many insensitive assholes out there in the world.

I assumed it was because he might start reading stuff out about some of his odder excursions. Like the porn industry one.

That's exactly why I thought he was trying to change the subject, especially when he mentioned Weird Weekends with such classic episodes as 'Porn' and 'Swingers'.

Yeah he mentioned that as well. Not because it might be embarrassing for him, but because he was concerned that the people involved might think he was posing as a serious documentary maker but actually intended to take the piss out of them.

Having read all the Dexter books as well as watched all the series I agree, she cannot be beat by any other bird on TV.

She is exactley the same as the character in the books, what she says, how she acts etc.

has anyone seen it's always sunny in philadelphia?? its great. easy to watch and only 20 mins long which i think is a good length. it's also one of those shows you can drift in and out of without worring about the series plot. each episode stands on its own.

Doesn't autism have nothing to do with intelligence?
