I don't like The Godfather

Im the same, I have tried to watch them plenty of times but just doesn't do anything for me!

I must have watched that wedding scene at the start of Godfather three or four times now but have yet to get through the movie, let alone any of others.

interesting listening to morgan spurlock on 5live at the minute. 1/3rd of the new bond movie budget is provided by corporate sponsors, frightening. although, not entirely surprising, as the series has been pretty much one long advert for a while now.

totally agree ..I Watched tomorrow Never dies as it was on tv the other day , had bloody adverts for "Carver Media " placed throughout the whole film ..totally ruined it for me

but seriously

even bonds remote controlled BMW is filmed so that you can see "Nokia" in the picture every time he does anything to the car .. product placement is really annoying

re. Bond - read this:

Ignore the bad Amazon reviews - they just don't get it. I am completely in agreement with Winder that the only Bond stuff that isn't utter shite is (some of ) the Fleming books and (some of) the Connery films.

(He's wrong about The Cockleshell Heroes, though).

i really didnt like nowhere boy, i cant remember exactly what for but id read a couple of books on JL before watching it and iirc it wasnt errors as such just what they decided to miss out and the then the emphasis on what they give to other seemingly minor things pissed me off

True, but that's film making. Although it was based on real events, it was a drama, not a documentary.

They should still have called the dog Nigger, though.

the last 2 have been shocking, the sony stuff everywhere is bad enough but when you hear

"is that a rolex"

"no its an omega"

it was hard not to scream **** off at the screen

I love Casino Royale, I think it's a great film. But that line was ridiculous.

Product placement is one thing, but working it into the dialogue is ridiculous!

I mentioned Tyrannosaur a while ago on this thread and it finally gets its UK release this Friday. I haven't been this excited about a new movie for a while, as 1) it's directed by the legendary Paddy Considine and 2) it stars two of my favourite british actors in Peter Mullan and Eddie Marsan.

Reviews have been very positive so far, but it's certainly not going to be a date movie as it's been likened to Ken Loach in style. I'm expecting the usual acting masterclass from Mullan and looking forward to seeing how good Paddy is on the other side of the camera.

**EDIT** Just booked up for me and the missus to see this at the Electric in Bham on one of the lovely sofas. Some movies are worth spending a bit more one. Cannae wait! :D

yeh should be good that one...

Considine reveals in this month's empire that he's never fancied himself as an actor and sees his future mainly behind the camera....

also never realised he had Asbergers Syndrome.....

fantastic actor and will always watch his films ever since i saw Romeo Brass...hope he continues to take acting parts

Can't wait for that either, but alas, it's very unlikely to be shown over here. so hopefully it'll still be out when I come over for half term in a few weeks.
