Rodders
Black Panther - total success. Great characters, good plot, seemed like a few Bond pastiches in there too , though I may be imagining things. One of the top Marvel films for me. Chindie Posted February 16, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 16, 2018 I don't think you'll have imagined the Bond stuff, they've mentioned a Bond influence a fair bit in the build up.
villa4europe
Yeah saw an interview on ign where the director said marvel approached him with the idea of BP being the MCUs James bond, without watching it I'm not sure what that means apart expecting a suave bad ass

She's a scene stealer apparently not even forest Whittaker hamming it up can take away from the cast apparently, I think the only criticism I've seen was Angela Bassett not being up to much, on paper that's a statement
Zatman
The Shape of Water is brilliant and lives up to the hype and the award nominations it has received As for Phantom Thread the complete opposite, was a pile of shit

LakotaDakota
Vancouver is pretty much a TV / movie studio. 80% of the american tv shows you have watched over the past 20 odd years have been filmed there (pretty close to 100% of CW superhero shows) and there are usually about 20 movies being filmed there every month. You'll probably see more actors/famous people out and about there than you would if you were staying at Chateau Marmont for a week
villa4europe
I was walking around Vancouver one night and just stumbled across them filming the flash, the amount of time and effort put in to a 10 second scene is nuts
