What is going on? 
 

Wanted to give Carlos MotM, thought he probably had overall the best game but McGinn just embodies everything that is Aston Villa right now and it’s a sight to behold.

We looked leggy, for sure, so did they from around 70 mins onwards, which I think helps illustrate the benefit of a days extra rest. We had little to no control of the game after the first 10 minutes or so but occasionally still looked threatening. Arsenal will rightly count themselves unlucky to have not gotten on the scoresheet to be fair so we were somewhat fortunate today, but that was earned luck.

Feels like we’re in some kind of parallel universe right now.

This also means that my undefeated Villa shirt is still undefeated in something like 17 games… that’s more than just chance, it really is magic!

Seriously though, I remember when Arsenal were supposed to be the epitome of sexy/beautiful football. They have become sulky, cheating diving b**tards. They have a charmless undignified manager who seems to have developed a rotten mentality at the club. The shirt pulling, the diving, the rolling around on the floor, the surrounding the referee - classless and I hope they fail to win anything ever again - and I hope they fail by the slimmest margin every time. 

 

I mean Pep (115 allegations of cheating aside) has the class to be gracious in defeat.

I am currently going through a re examination of my feelings during a football match

 No longer do i get panicky when teams come at us. I just watch as our defence work things out. Its a calmness that can only be coming from my complete faith in our manager. Its really wierd but really good. And something i have never ever experienced before in a galf century on the planet. 

Watched it with my bluenose housemate this evening. And he was totally blown away by that goal.  " how the fcyk are Villa playing football like this " he asked . " its fcking stunning" 

I just smiled calmly and passed him a beer.

I and many others were at Wembley after being pumped 4-0 by Arsenal and their fans not caring, on the tube back before the trophy was lifted.
