I don't get it because most of the squad press high and with a quick tempo for their club teams. Adapting them into an effective attacking outfit shouldn't be difficult. Then playing out of form players like Maguire, Rashford, and Grealish. Or playing Trent AA in midfield. Also refusing to call up other players when there were withdrawals. It's like telling those players they might as well play for Scotland as they're not getting in under him.
