Zanniolo and Diaby are not linking up well with the full backs. It is all so predictable. Instead of passing wide I would like to see McGinn take a run into the centre and try to lay off to Watkins. Posted November 5, 2023 Moderator Share Posted November 5, 2023 Their 'almost' penalty was offside - people do this sometimes, they count the attacks teams have where we've played them offside and think we're under constant pressure - when what we're actually doing is defending well with a high line. Digne has been our best player i think. The ref has let a couple of tugs go on Zaniolo and Watkins, but I don't think he's been any worse than okay-ish - not sure what the hoo-hah is. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They have packed the middle third and we're still trying to work our way through the likes of Sangare and Mangala who live for tackling in those areas and 50/50s. Zaniolo the player we've been able to find most often in attacking areas and his output has been poor. Too obvious that we're eventually trying to hit Digne and Cash, by the time they receive it they are well covered.
