mjmooney Posted August 13, 2023 VT Supporter Posted August 13, 2023 England captain Harry Kane made his Bayern Munich debut as they lost 3-0 to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup. Only hours after completing his £86m move from Tottenham on Saturday, the striker came on as 64th-minute substitute to a huge cheer at the Allianz Arena. He had only three touches and made little impact. BBC

In theory he’ll do very well there, but there’s a bit of me which wonders if it’ll be a disaster because he’s been pampered at Spurs since a teenager. Edited August 13, 2023 by Genie

Popular Post tonyh29 Posted August 14, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 14, 2023 Only been in Munich a few hours and he's already turned them into Spurs by missing out on a trophy 1 7

He's not an "on the shoulder" striker, so will be interesting to see how they use him. 1
The Fun Factory Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 He will probably do ok for a coupe of years, win a title, fail in Europe, and then go to the MLS.

Xela Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 3 goals and 2 assists today. 7 games and 8 goals in total
villa4europe Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Watched a bit of the pre game and first half Pre game they were talking about how great it is for tel as he now has zero pressure and gets a brilliant opportunity to develop, he scored again today, he's on something like 5 goals for the season in around 130 mins of football They also dropped / rested upamecano, goretzka, gnarby and Musiala, still didn't start muller He should get at least a double this year 1

Xela Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Absolutely smashing it in Germany. Was a perfect move for him. 1
villa4europe Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 41 goals is the record... Would be crazy if muller held that record for 50 years and then it got beat twice in the space of 3 years

Keyblade Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Best striker of this generation. He's going to score like 50 league goals and win some trophies before people start to recognize it.

Probably I think unfortunately for him messi and Ronaldo redefined what a goal scorer is

I remember a few years ago copping flak for saying he'd be doing just as well if not better than Lewandowski at Bayern, and now he's going to prove it.

villan95 Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Doing very well but no surprise in such a dominant team. Looks like Leverkusen are the only challengers this season.
