Would probably look more like this than an embroidered version… and it would surely not look anywhere near as bad as that anyway…

Can we just get a decent badge though?

I'm sure many have been wondering, as I have, how the drop shadow could possibly work with embroidery or other medium where a gradient is not possible.  Shame this mockup did the opposite of a drop shadow and decreased contrast.

Shadow on the highest arm looks wrong right?  All other shadows are on the underside or behind but that one is on top of the arm. Looks weird.

Everything about it is comical but would look great on our red away shirts next season :D

There is a legal right to object to a trademark. Outlined below.

Quote

At any point after we have accepted and published an application for registration, and before it is actually registered, anyone can make what we call ‘third party observations’.

You can tell us if you think that we accepted the application in error. You must bring to our attention any relevant facts of which we may not have been aware at the time we accepted the application.

Making a third party observation is not a formal legal action, and we are not bound to act on observations. We may rely on evidence given in an observation to support a later objection to the application.

We send a copy of all third party observations to the applicant.  This is required by rule 22 of the Trade Mark Rules 2008.  Observations are also open to inspection by the public once a trade mark has been published.

So because Heck lied to the FA about the process, that means it's all ok and the FA won't get involved now they know a bit more of the truth?

And this is why we shouldn't go round in circles on it, entirely l eventually Chinese whispers start and suddenly we've lied to the FA?!

Utter shit. I'd be completely bewildered if that even gets close to being the real, final Villa badge. There is no conceivable way this is not a prank.

Sadly, the one registered with the trademark office also has the shadow above the claw. So as bad as the stitched version is, it's only being true to the actual version..
