Maybe I'm so desensitized to awful commentators over here in the USA, because I don't mind Tim Howard at all. For someone with Tourettes and OCD it's amazing that he was able to play football at a Premier League level, let alone commentate on games. He doesn't hold a candle to the Four Horsemen of Shitty American Soccer TV Commentators (Alexi Lalas, Alejandro Moreno, Taylor Twellman, & Julie Foudy). Possibly thinking, maybe if he starts, he can get his clangers out the way early and remember he's an International keeper at a PL club. I assume he's not playing as he was so recently involved in international games but it would also be good for him to play before the Newcastle game kicks off the prem season.
