Bit of a weird one as the nature of his injury or time frame for return hasn't been discussed in press conferences or official site.

https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php suggests that Emery said that it's a calf injury and that he was out for another 2 weeks just before Christmas. Fingers crossed he can at least get involved in the Boro game if that's the case.

Dec 22: 'Youri, we are thinking maybe not more than two weeks, but he is now working alone and recovering his injury in his calf.'

He's a big loss for us, was becoming a major asset for us when we struggled to break teams down. Be great to see him against boro for at least 30 minutes.

Yep we'd have easily beaten Sheffield and Burnley with him available and he'd have made a big difference in the 2nd half vs man Utd when we really couldn't put our foot on the ball.

Hurry up back please. Crying out for him.

Yesterday we didn't have Douglas or Torres starting either and badly missed the vision that all three bring to the table. It's vital to have players who can spot the weak points or opportunities when we come up against a low block team.
