Tom13 Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 I've actually seen nowhere near enough of him, or he's not stood out. What kind of midfielder is he?

Farlz Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Can't go wrong with a free transfer but he's not better than Luiz or Kamara. Nowhere close imo. Would be a good midfield option to have though.
MaVilla Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 not implying we will or wont sign him. Gregg Evans saying something though, is basically the same level as Bob Down the pub saying it, Gregg Evans knows about as much about Villa's transfer dealings as Slippy Gerrard does about coaching.
sne Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 If his last season of so was a loss of form rather than ability then he'll be a good signing on a free as long as the contract is reasonable. Remains to be seen I guess.

Indigo Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 It's a rough start to the summer for the "lazy link" brigade.
Popular Post JAMAICAN-VILLAN Posted June 5, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2023 (edited) He's a seasoned, experienced Premier League player. Also has experience in Europe He was once one of the most highly rated young Midfielders in Europe. Having a poor season in a team where the whole team has been absolutely shite should not necessarily be the death knell. Wouldn't be my firs choice, but on a free, and IF Unai wants him, we could do much worse. Just view it as Sanson Out, Tielmans in, for example. Edited June 5, 2023 by JAMAICAN-VILLAN 12

stewiek2 Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 (edited) Seriously though, a no brainer for me. Leicester turned down £60m from Man United 2 seasons ago after, apparently, granting him a move of a club bettered £50m. Edited June 5, 2023 by stewiek2
Zatman Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Seemed to have downed tools at Leicester which is worrying 1
villarule123 Posted June 5, 2023 VT Supporter Posted June 5, 2023 We need a squad. He was one of the most coveted players in his position a year ago, and has since had a basket case of a club on and off the pitch. Think how poorly thought of McGinn was 6 months ago, and look at him now. If anyone can get Tielemans back to his best, Emery can. This is a no brainer for me. 2
Shirtman Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 If Emery wants him I'm good with this. Look at how McGann and Douglas have improved under his influence. 1

CarryOnVilla Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Ideal player to have for the extra games we have. A squad of interchangeable players will help villa to stay competitive in the league and the cups. Also, he was highly rated a season or two ago. Unai can be the manager to help him find that form again.
Awol Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Cracking signing on a free. Emery gets him back to his best and he’s a £50m midfielder again. 2
