Stevenage was a horrible day at the office. Pretty unconvincing to go 1-0 up and then tragic game management in the closing minutes. However we've learnt since then with how we've seen tight games out. You really thought we'd stick 4-5 past Warsaw with Chambers at RB and an understrength CM, I certainly didn't. Look at how Luiz played v Everton compared to his God like form in the premier league. He wasn't bothered on the night so I think players got the vibe from Emery it wasn't a priority. I think when only one prem game is being mentioned in these examples in the whole of 2023 it suggests we're o.k at not messing up v bottom end teams anymore (cue us being 3-0 down to Luton after half an hour now I've typed that. )

That looks possible to me considering we also have Bournemouth away in next five league games so 9-10 points should be very possible. If we can do that then slowly reel Spurs in like we did expertly from March last season. They will drop points with what they've got coming up in next 5-6 matches. We've got a tough month to come in December as well though. So we need to pick up as.many points as we can over the next three if possible. Popular Post DakotaVilla
We just need 2 points per game so 14 points over next seven would be an excellent return. Luton, Forest, Fulham and Bournemouth need to be targeted for 10 to 12 points. Then we get the remaining balance from Spurs, Man City and Arsenal.
zab6359
We could be sitting third in the PL come Monday morning, highly doubt it but stranger things have happened!
Tom13
Negative - likely to still be in 5th after City Utd. Positive - nice five point gap over 6th place!

villarule123 Posted October 29, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted October 29, 2023 Nice gap opening up between us and 6th, assuming 5th will be a CL spot.
BleedClaretAndBlue
We’re in the breakaway group at the top now Nice 5 point gap opened up to 6th. Those Brighton and barcode draws have done nicely

Mark Albrighton Posted October 29, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted October 29, 2023 Obviously it’s easy to feel and think this at the moment, but I do think that the current top six will be the final top six come the end of the season. The order will be different.
It's Your Round
A good result for us with Fulham equalising at Brighton, added to Newcastle drawing at Wolves and it’s been a good weekend. Just got to keep beating the teams we should beat, and surprise one or two of the so-called ‘big teams’.
Farlz
At some point we will hit a sticky patch, that's football so I'm ready for it but bloody hell ain't this good right now
Frodo
I see it as we're 17 pts off the relegation zone with a better goal difference after 10 games, nothing more nothing less I will have another look after the Christmas period
CVByrne
Gap opening up between the top 5 and the rest. Hopefully that is the way of the season
Popular Post BleedClaretAndBlue
After Liverpool made light work of us, I really wasnt sure if we’d hit the heights we were hoping for of the season before, it looked like injuries were going to weigh down heavy on us and inconsistent form would follow. to take 16 out of 18 points since and become top scorers in the league in the process is nothing short of sensational. What a team we have, everything is aligning.

viivvaa66
It takes time to get used to us winning 70% of our matches, not that long ago I would have been ok with it if we won 1 in 3. Not to mention the number of goals we scores at the moment, it feels so unreal. Almost forgot to mention 12 successive home wins. This is like being offered a new Rolex for £100, it is too good to be true. Two more “easy” opponents, hopefully we can increase the gap down to 6th place, and get in among the top 4.
