Newcastle are on their best run all season 13 points from 6 games. They somehow manage to do that again then we only need 4 points. If we don’t get 4 points from 6 games then we deserve nothing. Newcastle have a makeshift defence that will not do what they did today when they play away from home.

Some sense on here at last😃. They have to make up 10 pts plus whatever points we manage to pick up over the next 6 games. Its not impossible, but it's highly improbable at this stage. Not even Ivan Toney would be willing to bet on Newcastle getting top 5 now.

Was thinking exactly this yesterday. It would likely have been 2 nil or 2 -1 to Tottenham without the red card. That's up to a six goal difference swing.

I think even with 10 we could have just taken the 2-0 but we really lost our focus

Liverpool losing...let's finish 3rd!

Fulham next away for them. Fulham playing well and beating West Ham today. Loss

Everton away, derby match and Everton fighting for their lives. Loss

West Ham away, have lost one game at home since September. Draw

Home to Spurs, Draw

Away to Villa. Villa win

Home to Wolves. Dunno. Loss. Why not? They just lost at home to Palace.

73 points total for them. Villa need 11 points from the other 15 available to finish 3rd. We can even afford to lose today. It's in the bag

Liverpool losing at home shows how tough some of these Premier League games are. Nothing in the league is a guaranteed 3 points

Agreed. Expecting any team to go on a crazy run of form is probably unlikely given the depth of talent in this league currently. So even if Newcastle look like they have six wins on paper, it would be very surprising if it works out like that.

I thought for sure they would come out today and look to exercise demons and beat Palace by multiple goals.

At this rate by time we play Liverpool they will have nothing to play for which would be handy

How so? They are 2 points off top after their stumble today. Ok that will.be 3 points in a couple of hours but at "that rate" they will go into our game with a chance to go top before the final day

Why are we all talking about united and Newcastle and no longer mentioning spurs, THEY are our only concern at this stage until the end of the season.

That’s not completely true though

A margin of 1 or 2 points at that end of the table is absolutely massive. Title winning teams don’t drop many points.

You have not read it properly.

He said Liverpool wont have anything to play for. If they are within 3 points of the top when they come to Villa Park, do you think they have nothing to play for?
