Because Dean Smith was here for 2 - 3 years with 5 - 6 transfer windows and Gerrard has been here for half a season with 1 January transfer window, would be the most obvious response?

Shhh. Don’t let common sense get in the way of irrational emotions.

He wanted to go, how many times!!!!

So what? You don't just cave in immediately and weaken the squad to help a team that is going to rinse us in the transfer market for the next decade.

Was a ridiculous move. Whether he wanted it or not.

The reason we won't be able to get back into this is because Wolves don't gift the opposition golden chances or have a general aura of chaos around them. Their midfield is calm, their defence is composed. we will try to rush everything and compound a situation which is never a good thing

There’s no way Wolves are better than us today. There’s no way they deserve being 2-0 up.

However there have been a few games like that this season...

Villa are soft, have been for years!

you'd rather we kept a player that wanted out?

I love how the slip of McGinn, Konsa and an OG by Young is Gerrards fault

Not just that though is it. We’ve been pretty hopeless performance wise since he was appointed. The space we give teams down the flanks is a ridiculous set up. It’s too congested through the middle and we haven’t the players to intricately play that way.

Maybe.

But they haven't loaned a player to another PL club - brought in worse replacement for £10m more - who is always injured.

You reap what you sow
