Not sure all of West Ham's new players earn that much or that they have that many over 100k per week. Newcastle now seem to have three players earning over 100k (Trippier, Bruno G, Isak). Villa have quickly gone from 1 player earning over 100k to having 5. Players sold for a big fee are often a bit younger and not yet on massive wages, that's what clubs pay the transfer fees for -- the value of the registration is higher if the salary is reasonable. Yes, but you forget that we also got relegated during that period. During that period of spending we started 6th in the Premier League and then went downhill eventually getting relegated and then getting promoted and becoming a mid-table team.
