Some just don't like him. In any case, if he's managing to sway players of this calibre we should have a big ol' sack of beneficially stamped doubt with him.

hippo loves the guy

Ollie missed a sitter though one on one with the keeper twice.

Sure, yeah, but he was part of an attack that scored two vs the best team in the world. If we think the answer is “we should have scored four vs Man City” then that’s happened once in the last 450 matches so it’s a pretty blinkered approach. Our issue vs City was not scoring goals, it was conceding them.

after two PL games of many, many recycling and retaining of possession passes, you know someone on VT is gonna say:

"mate, yeah mate, he's a French Westwood, he's s*** mate".

"mate".

But the fact remains that we did have chances to score more, and should have done?

Well I’m not sure that’s true to be honest. Sure he missed chances, but not many teams score 2 vs City. The difference was we conceded 3.

In 5 minutes......Wolves say Hi.

We need Dan Burn at full back.....just kidding.

spot on.

Its easier to stop them than to score them.

just that we don't have many who can stop them......however, we are working on it.

Sure, ok. If you think adding in a more clinical striker would have been the difference in that game - ignoring Watkins actually getting an assist and his strong general play - then that’s totally fine and I don’t need to argue the toss. Maybe you’re right and with the right striker we can just win all those 4-3 instead of losing them 3-2 ;)

Edit: as noted after this, off topic and so will leave it! Yay Boubacar!

From what I've been seeing/reading.

It appears there is a misconception that he is solely some kind of defensive battering ram

It appears he is actually more of an intelligent, complete midfielder, who can defend well, and has a brilliant range of passing as well!

One who can seemlessly play and transition through the full centre of the pitch! ( 6/8 )

Absolutely, positively would introduce him to his brethren for tea and biscuits with a smile that could cut mountains. Such is the extent of his infatuation of the man. Inspiring.

Sure - but he’ll absolutely be the base of our midfield. We haven’t signed him to be a roaming midfielder at all.

pretty sure he got the callup just before he signed, hence the Digne rumours when Digne put a wavey hand on the french squad to kamara (alluding to that he prob knew kamara was due to sign for us..)
