You reckon? Moreno can do things that Digne just can't. He can play in tight spaces, can beat players without needing a load of space in behind and his cutbacks are just deadly. He gives our attack a whole 'nother dimension.

And I agree that Digne's been good, he's a likeable guy as well.

You think we may see Moreno further up the pitch with Digne playing as a more defensive LB?

Digne is really good in tight spaces, a lot less likely to lose it in them as well. As he'll find the correct pass or kick it off the opponent for a throw.

He's just really clever with his decision making.

He is yeah, but I wouldn't say he's Moreno's level. Dougie, Buendia and Moreno linking up on the left hand side was a joy to watch last season.

I doubt it, Moreno is good at going forward but he's good at doing that from fullback. But you never know.

He's much better at maintaining possession in those situations than moreno. As moreno will often try to beat 2-3 men in a way that just won't happen. I'm not saying moreno is bad or anything just saying digne is better when being pressed in the defensive and middle thrids of the pitch.

Digne been brilliant this season! With Moreno back it will keep him on his toes.

Yeah I agree. I think he's been one of our better players this season tbf and it will be hard to dethrone his position in the starting 11 rn. I think Moreno could play as more of a winger as well as he's really good with the ball on his feet as we saw last season. Kinda similar to the position we've been playing Cash. Either way it's going to be good to have options!

End product is horrible - makes some clever movements, but ability to pick out a player is 1 in 30 at best either that or passes it back.  Hasn’t been too bad over the last 10 odd games but certainly has not made the shirt his own as some suggest his shitness is over shadow by our better players, Alex walks back in that spot both full backs are by far the weakest links.

I thought every player was poor but digne was the best of a shit bunch

obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but i honestly thought the opposite.

He was in space a lot, but he did nothing with it, he is so one dimensional, gets the ball in space, stands there, doesnt move much, crosses the ball, doesnt deliver a good cross.

I cant wait to get Moreno back fit tbh.

I thought he was wasteful with some of his crosses but he did whip some good  crosses in and either no1 got near it or the villa player **** it up. Cash was terrible. He couldnt cross his legs properly let a lone get a cross in the box.

I thought kamara and luiz were the worst villa players alongside zaniolo

yeah, not having competition for Cash isnt good, we seriously need to fix that in Jan, with a new starting RB that Cash is competition for.

Cash is such a limited footballer, its painful to watch sometimes.

maybe we tried to but couldnt nail down the player we wanted?, and Emery decided to not pull the trigger rather than buy another right back he didnt really want?

huge assumption ofc, but we went into the season with 1 specialist right back, so i can only assume we at least tried to sign one?

needs fixing in Jan as a priority, tho.
