BOF:

I was driving to work this morning and I noticed a bee was in my car. It must have flown in through the open door as I got in the car by my house. It flew out of an open window some 15 miles away in Marston Green.

Now as far as I am aware, bees are social animals. This bee will be* stranded on the Birmingham/Solihull border when its home is in North Warwickshire. Im not sure it will be able to find its way home, and if it does it might find itself having to brave the mean streets of Chelmsley Wood and risk getting mugged or stabbed. It might find its way into Sheldon Park I guess, but will it find some more bees to make friends with?

What will happen to the bee?

*pun intended.

To pre-empt BOF - was it a honey bee or a bumble bee?

It was a bumble bee.

OK. I believe that - while they are social animals - they don't hang around in great big swarms the way honeybees do. So I reckon a single bumblebee would be OK, it'd soon find a couple of mates to go down the pub with. But a honeybee might end up slashing all six of its wrists in a fit of depression and loneliness.
