The crown prosecution could have probably taken him to court anyway,  with the evidence they had, audio and photos. Although the press coverage of it all would have made it difficult for him to have a fair trial.

It's quite common in domestic abuse cases for the victim to refuse to give evidence, for obvious reasons.

"Can you be prosecuted if the alleged victim no longer wants to co-operate with the police/CPS?

He would have thrown a team of very expensive lawyers at them, tying it all up for year's. With the main witness not only not being available anymore but now back with him the chances of a conviction are greatly reduced. They probably thought it wasn't worth spending all that money when they're already massively underfunded. Ridiculous whatever their thinking.

Fact of the matter is that, with the evidence that had already been given, it should have been automatically elevated from a civil matter into a legal one…

His behaviour demonstrated in those recordings, with the photos of the bruising etc etc is enough to prove he is a menace… the accusers previous comments and accusations should be used in court to prosecute him, whether she wants it to continue or not…

Doesnt matter how much money he has coughed up

I guess the risk is she is put on the stand and says she lied about what happened, it was all consensual role play, she likes it rough etc the case could just fall apart wasting everybody’s time and money.

Any sort of rape/abuse claims are nigh on impossible to get a successful prosecution in because of a lack of evidence. Sound bite is nothing (“that’s not me”), photos aren’t him hitting her - just some wounds on her.

It’s why people (women) don’t bring as many rape/abuse cases as they should and why rapists/abusers often get off without punishment.

Then she should be prosecuted for perverting the course of justice and wasting police time…

Scored the same amount of goals for Real than the incredibly overrated Beckham did but took 128 fewer games

Very strange comparison apart from being English though

According reports in Spain he might be facing a lengthy ban about the Greenwood incident. Bringing in lip readers to verify

That he'll get a longer ban than a player dishing out racist abuse would get is just so football. Protect the rapists, ignore the racists.

Neat slogan- you should start a campaign.

Id love to see Bellingham tell La Liga to do one and force a move out of the country if that happens
