Up until the last few weeks it seemed it was useless lol. For Leon it has clicked finally. He has the basics right now which means when he goes and expresses himself its not at the expense of the system. The 2 chops he has done in the last 2 games were incredible. Even more the second one because he was at full pace . If he stays fit ( and with his socks down i think he has the confidence now to do it ) he is a major major asset. Emery will find a way to bring the best out of everyone . Our coaches arent messing around. Ollie says that Rodri is incredible. I guess the same is happening for Bailey . How to effect a game, remain calm and have the confidence to take on a defence and win. Body shape to keep the ball, tactical understanding . He's full of confidence at the moment and the team just played better than with Zaniolo in it (who obviously has a lot on his plate right now and is trying a bit too hard). That shot he took, yes it was a poor finish, but that showed his confidence. A month or so ago, he takes a few touches and probably falls over the ball or gets easily tackled. They’re both getting opportunities. Coming off the bench doesn’t seem to be doing Bailey any harm. He’s having an impact. And I don’t think Zaniolo has been bad at all. He's not going to be risked in back to back games on a 2 day rest. The problem is he can't play LM. We have McGinn, Zaniolo and Bailey who all prefer to play on the right, its not ideal.
