I feel like he could have been, if he'd been given time (under Smith) and a proper coach (under Gerrard) to bring him up to speed. It didn't happen and we'll never know, but wish him well. I thought he tried his hardest in the minutes he was given, but bad luck meant we didn't see the best of him. Great we've managed to sell him for a small FFP profit given how little he played for us, but I'm sure he is worth me than we've sold him for and Nice have a bargain.
