Popular Post Dante_Lockhart
Think Sean Lock passing is the first celebrity death to actually knock me for 6. Spent a lot of time watching Cats over the years and he was a brilliant comedian. One of the few to bring me to tears with laughter. He seemed like a genuinely nice man too despite his grumpy demeanor. Well liked in the industry. RIP Sean.
Genie
There’s been loads of clips of Sean Lock on social media this last 24 hours and it’s genuinely had me LOLing. Such a funny guy.

Popular Post Seat68
I can't underplay just how upsetting this for me but one of, if not the greatest, songwriters and my favourite artists of all time has died. Tom T Hall. I can put any Tom T Hall album on, from any period and there isn't a track that I don't love. My parents were huge fans and it something that binds me and my siblings. We love the guy. He was known as the storyteller, you strapped your self in and listened because he was going to tell you a bloody story. **** gutted. veloman
One of the best examples of 'proper' harmony, not just singing in unison like , say Take That. I remember seeing their parents singing on TV; they were brilliant too.

The Beach Boys were not on the bill so were there to watch (well Dennis and Brian were). 1967.
veloman
Ah ! The Beach Boys ! Another great example. You might notice that a common factor is being brothers; the Bee Gees being another. I played for a short while in a band of 3 brothers & me - they weren't great guitarists (but then I wasn't a great drummer !!) however their harmonies were ace. Funny isn't it. As a footnote, they argued with each other quite a lot and I was piggy in the middle

They did fight their father (Dennis did physically) and everyone fought Mike Love

He was involved in some community project at Base Studios in Stourbridhe iirc He was one of those that gave quite a bit back in time to the community after they made their money I had a bottle of Carling Black Label on my shelf in my bedroom in Brum for years that he gave me at a gig in Walsall Town Hall before the first album came out.
