You could have seen Ings being this good. The guy had played about 40 games in 5 years pior to this season, and hardly set the world alight, looked a huge gamble with the fee they paid for him but has certainly paid off.

Player revolt again? Can see how the players could turn on Shouty McShoutface once the charm after the new manager bounce wears off.

cried for an English manager as the foreign guys werent tough enough.  Now they probably cried they had to work hard in training

Something rotten at the club and the captain probably doesnt help things

would make sense knowing Watford owners but strange timing. then again some people on here said Pearson was a managerial genius only a few weeks back

He's done well to get them back in contention, they had about 8 points by mid December remember (we had about 15 I think). Still they've been really poor since the restart even in the games they've won, think Defelueo injury was massive, like Jack getting injured for us.

Interested to see who they get in, really can't see a Big Sam, Hughton or Pulis going in for two games.

Maybe they'll get Marco Silva back?!😂

If we signed him this board would be complaining about signing an aging crock. Hindsight, 20/20 etc.

Very shrewd move by Villa to not sign Ings last summer. Very shrewd to know we didn’t have to splash £20m for him to keep us up.

We were never getting Ings. He’d been on loan with Southampton and had an agreed fee. But sure criticise us over something we had no say in

Was a sensible move though. With hindsight it obviously wasn't, but I don't think a single person on this forum would have thought he could play the amount of games he has over a season.

If us and Bournemouth win one more game and Watford lose both of theirs, all three will be level on 34 points and will come down to goal difference.

Currently

Watford -23

Bournemouth -26

Villa -27

Of course there’s a lot to rely on that’s out of our control there, but stranger things have happened.

Dont write Bournemouth off they were 1-0 down against leicester remember

they only got back into the game because Leicester lost their composure big time.

Not saying they won't in this game, but the Leicester victory was more to do with their collapse than Bournemouth being great.

I’m saying Ings is keeping us up without us spending a penny on him, and that Villa were shrewd to foresee this.

I’m joking, Mikey.
