And starting the last 2 games indicate he's rated? One was a cup game against lower league opposition. The other he got subbed off quite early in the game, when the change wasn't warranted. Yes, his value is due to his very short contract. His lack of a new contract is largely down to Gerrard's refusal to play him. Not sure what you're trying to defend here?
Popular Post Keyblade
We were celebrating his buyback clause expiring this time last year. Who'd have thought that we'd be losing him either now or in the summer for free. We never really got to use him properly. Such a shame. As we saw on Sunday, he slots in perfectly with Kamara in that midfield.
trillvillan
Odds of us actually selling him this late in the window?
Zatman
I dont blame him leaving. Plays well and replaced instead of the managers bestie. He needs go to a club/manager that appreciates him
jacketspuds
Gerrard would probably be happy with a straight swap for Luiz if he went to Liverpool. Oxlade-Chamberlain and the physio table he spends most of his time.

Every man and his dog wanted to see Luiz and kamara together, we did for 60 minutes on Saturday and Gerrard thought it was a good idea to take him off. Can’t be mad at him if he’s had enough. Same goes for Buendia and bailey
trillvillan
Annoyed if he's actually sold for that price - knowing pretty well another manager could've used him and gotten a lot out of him and the squads entirety. Goes for Buendia and Bailey as well.

Raymond
I am not a football coach or even very smart, but if some of the best teams in Europe want your player, it probably make sense to feature him.

He'd rather give minutes to Kilmarnock's number one target McGinn.

Apparently they really want a midfielder. However I agree, I reckon this is his agent drumming up interest. He looked mighty pissed off the other night and rightly so. Unless we have a serious talent coming in, it would be ridiculous to sell him.

I do - Liverpool have been pursuing a midfielder for awhile now. They have a handful of Brazilians and Portugese speaking players as well. Milner - old Henderson- getting on/older Keita - injured Ox- injured No other senior midfielders really for them? They're kinda f*cked if Fabinho gets injured.

But I could for sure see Luiz wanting to play with Fabinho, Thiago, Carvalho, Firmino, Alisson, Jota. Obviously his countrymen would be a pull. Popular Post VillaChris
What a false dawn this transfer window has been. Was positive early doors with Kamara coming and surely more additions would follow. Instead we lose Carney, Gerrard wants Sanson gone and Luiz will probably be dropped for tomorrow now with his head turned with all this interest. Add in the disaster of McGinn being made captain instead of benched. Not going to be much depth in midfield all of a sudden given likes of Nakamba and Tim can only play DM position. What's the alternatives if McGinn (horror of horror) or Ramsey are out for a few months injured?

I would think Tielemans makes a lot more sense as a Milner replacement.

TomC
Why do I get the feeling that this will end up like Lucas Digne at Everton? Sell the player, fire the manager not long afterwards, then realize that the new manager could have used the player... 3
