I've always thought he was a bit shit. £30m seems like an awful amount of money for him.

Kone is the LB, signed him for 9m

Transfermarkt saying joao Felix to atletico is done for €126m

Hector Herrera to atletico on a free

Crazy money for a 19yr old kid that hasn't even played 100 games of football (including youth/reserve games).

17/18 he started 13 of 38 games for Benfica B,

18/19 he started 21 of 34 games for Benfica (33 of 60 including cups) and now he is "worth" 114 million quid?

Works out at 20 grand per minute of football he has ever played for Benfica, Benfica B & Benfica U19

Right now he's obviously not worth it, but value really only can be judged at the end of something. If he plays a decade with them, helps them win trophies, and retires in an age where every average player is going £80m, then he'll be great value.

was going to quote you and say exactly the same thing about wan bissaka in the arsenal thread

if he stays there 10 years and fulfills his potential then its money well spent (same with mbappe)

Its not really the case anymore, even if a top player signs a new deal every 3/4 years they will also demand a big signing fee akin to a transfer fee. Really that £80m only covers the initial contract.

Honestly think that Joao Felix might be the next big thing.

Obviously he won't be Ronaldo good, but I think he will be a real player. Barring injuries of course.

He's looked class every time I've seen him.

Issue is will he be able to play Simeone football? Not sure but since they paid that much for him they must be sure he can.

He appears to have everything, really surprised at how good his passing and vision is. Looks pretty much two footed as well.
