In theory — full conspiracy mode — they could have had a fallout which made SG decide not to play Mings. He can’t really say that publicly so goes with ”illness” for now. SG tried playing without him once, I really doubt that he would have done the same today and then have used an excuse for doing so, when the truth was certain to have come out later.
