To think we got him AND John McGinn for less than £30m… such good value and both have grown with Villa. I back them both to still be a key part of our next phase too. 2 great bits of business.

We’d probably have lost him for peanuts if Gerrard wasn’t sacked.
Demitri_C
One thing i love about mings even though he isnt captain anymore he still gives his all. He could have spat his toys out the pram but hasnt. His attitude is top class
Popular Post djdabush
Anyone know if he's been able to look Emery in the eye and show that he's ready yet? 1

KMitch
Goes to show what a complete clown Gerrard was to bench Mings, strip him of the captaincy, and basically make it out as though he wasn't Premier League quality... He's been absolutely outstanding under Emery so far and probably our most consistent player this season. He was outstanding again today and should be one of the first names on the England team sheet, if Snoozegate wasn't so biased against Villa.
briny_ear
My MOTM today although the fact that Spurs didn’t have a shot on goal in the first half suggests Miracle Worker is a better title.

DJBOB
Incredible positioning and really doing better at deciding when to blast the ball out for a clearance and when to try to cushion it to keep possession. Watched him particularly this game and his off the ball positioning to receive the ball has improved drastically. Keep an eye on how he repositions after passing it or just dribbling the ball to a certain area to open passing lanes. Him and SJM really taking on the coaching well.
gwi1890
Just does everything right nobody other than Villa fans will admit he’s the best English centre back in the country.
