Mantis
Have no idea what to think about this (presuming it happens). I've long said that we should push the boat out and go for someone fresher (as opposed to the usual plodders like Bruce) but Henry has no experience whatsoever. Then again, we're not really going anywhere with Bruce so might as well try something different.
NIVillan
We played safe far too often, prefer to shoot for stars and have this opportunity with Henry. May never have a chance to gamble like this again. The team should be good enough not to get relegated and Henry might add much need sparkle up front. he will also bring knowledge of the upcoming Belgium players and probably French as well. Let’s go for it

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
I reckon Andre Green will benefit a lot from this, O'Hare, Davis and RHM too. The scary thing though is that most of the youngsters would be too young to remember Henry at his peak.
fifamad
Personally against the idea of appointing Henry, he was a great player but I think he is an awful pundit, talks complete nonsense and he’s an unproven manager, just a big name. I also like many others want Bruce out but I believe it would be a silly gamble appointing Henry.

Popular Post villabromsgrove
This is still just a rumour so we may well be wasting a lot of emotion over nothing, but I'm a bit surprised at some of the totally negative responses to Henry being linked with us. This is a guy who spent ten years being coached and managed by two of the acknowledged maestros of the art of football ....Wenger and Guardiola. I've heard him talk eloquently about their aims and techniques, and he has made no secret of his desire to become a manager. He's spent the last three and a half years as a SKY match day analyst so he's seen what works and what doesn't work over and over again. At the same time as analysing loads of football matches he's spent the last two years as assistant manager to the Belgium team working with another excellent coach in Martinez. The main complaint on here seems to be that he hasn't managed a club before, but if he had then the likely hood of him accepting the current Villa job would be somewhere between very slim and no chance! It may well turn out to be a rumour, but as a choice between settling for more of the negative bumbling same, and the chance to improve into a positive passing and moving team, I'd take the later.
