darrenm Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Someone had to start one. And to avoid clogging up the Bruce thread with speculation and names, if Bruce is to go soon (which could be likely if things don't pick up), who would you like to see replace him? 2

Chris hughton but he wouldn't come here I doubt . Might have been tempted back in October though.
Rodders Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Who cares? Mourinho Fergie Pochettinho would come here and be rendered hopeless by dint of association. We're fated for perennial failure regardless. Nothing and no one will turn us around 3
Popular Post jimbojustice Posted February 11, 2017 Popular Post Posted February 11, 2017 Literally if we sacked Bruce we start the same cycle that keeps putting us in this place. He needs way more time, we can't keep sacking managers, we need to give them real time to reshape the squad. 18

Half my brain agrees , the other thinks it would be like putting a turd on a plate and giving it time in the hope it will mature and taste like pumpkin pie. I'd just like to add, look at what Warnock has done at Cardiff in such a short space of time. He have set an effective style of play and is getting results with a very poor side. I'm not advocating him for our next manager just pointing out that there are managers out there that can do a job, it's just we continually choose the wrong ones. darrenm Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 Surely an ambitious manager would look at us buying the best players in the championship and be doing everything they can to get their nose in. We need someone who considers themselves above the job almost. Someone who won't be overawed and will play an attacking pressing game. Someone like Benitez but obviously not him. Crikey, Prandelli's available. That'd be a decent match up 1
Popular Post jackbauer24 Posted February 11, 2017 Popular Post Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) I think this thread should be called 'New Manager 2017 - February' for greater accuracy on how often calls are made for a new manager... Edited February 11, 2017 by jackbauer24 6

We've skimmed the cream off other clubs. Another manager wouldn't need any other players to fit their style, they have the best available already

nnock1984 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 After seeing Brentford recently I'd go for Dean Smith. I do think Bruce will get more time though! 1

Popular Post LondonLax Posted February 11, 2017 Popular Post Posted February 11, 2017 Jut keep sacking the manager every three-six months. That's a sure fire strategy that has worked well in the past... 11
